Mission

ANDPVA’s mission is to create healing through the arts by offering safe spaces and initiatives that support the holistic well-being—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—of the Indigenous community in Canada. Our aim is to restore cultures and identities by providing platforms for artistic expression and cultural preservation, empowering Indigenous peoples to reclaim their heritage and strengthen their connections within their communities

Vision

We aspire to become a nationally-recognized innovative provider of healing opportunities for Indigenous peoples, promoting their well-being through the arts. Our commitment extends to supporting Indigenous artists, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and Survivors, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to cultural preservation and community resilience.

Mandate

Our strategy is on identifying, promoting, and fostering opportunities for Indigenous peoples across Canada. Our goal is to enhance community well-being and self-sufficiency. We prioritize supporting the preservation of traditional knowledge, advancing cultural identities, and showcasing evolving cultural expressions. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to the healing process from the historical trauma of colonization within the community.

Manifesto

Our drive encompasses a thriving Indigenous community on a healing journey from the traumas of colonization. We deeply value and honor emerging and established artists, Elders, and Knowledge Keepers as the guardians and transmitters of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit cultures, languages, and the innovative Indigenous ways of knowing. This mutual respect and support are foundational to our commitment to cultural preservation and community well-being.
