Sharing circles, teachings and 1:1 sessions

Culture has a strong role in healing and prevention.

Led and supported by Elders and Survivors, individuals share their stories- understanding they are not alone, learn traditional teachings, create individual safety plans, and participate in spiritual activities such as gifting, journaling, and offering medicines in culturally appropriate ways.

1:1 sessions further facilitate the path to healing with guided deeper reflection, self-discovery and suggestions for self-care.

Sub-section – Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQ+ (MMIWG and 2SLGBTQ+) and Indigenous Human Trafficking (IHT)
In 2019 ANDPVA began raising awareness for Indigenous gender-based violence, specifically Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLGBTQ+ (MMIWG and 2SLGBTQ+) and Indigenous Human Trafficking (IHT).
We sponsor and co-partner projects that not only raise awareness on these important topics but aim to prevent them and facilitate healing by creating safe spaces for dialogue and storytelling for Survivors and community members.
